  1. I’m frequently amazed at the clinical acuity of random, dead strangers. Is it narcissistic to take their archival statements as custom-made for me?

  2. yes. a narcissistic compulsive neurotic, like me.

  3. PS found this today, from a Don DeLillo interview:
‘A writer takes earnest measures to secure his solitude and then finds endless ways to squander it.’

    • Though it’s dated, that a pretty good interview, much better than most he gives. I guess they just can’t compare to his dialogue. When utopia comes I plan to read him through from Americana on. I notice that the latest issue of TPR has interviews with both Gibson and Delany!
