“Man’s fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless.”

Ecclesiastes 3:19

    wow – the bible tells us everything is meaningless! is this the Good News Bible?


  2. It’s more commonly translated as “all is vanity”, but this has more punch. Ecclesiastes is great for an earthy reflection on mortality and the vanity of humankind; best enjoy food, drink and work while you’re still breathing…
